Abstract: The article provides an overview of the regulations defining the functions and profiles of pedagogical specialists, in particular the pedagogical adviser. Emphasis is placed on the need for purposeful academic preparation of students from the “Social Pedagogy” major for socio-pedagogical work with children in pre-school institutions. Practices from the academic educational process, implemented in a face-to-face and online environment, are shared. Ideas are presented for subsequent upgrading of theoretical and practical training for professional realization in kindergartens.
