Abstract: Drama, which is the developed aspect of games, is a method and an activity in itself in early childhood education. Drama is an art form that sustains the imagination that begins in children’s dramatic games, makes the invisible visible and shares individual imagination. Although drama is a newer approach in education and training compared to traditional methods, it contains many positives in terms of its effect and application. In an education system based on rote learning and information accumulation, the individual cannot get rid of various sanctions and cannot find information by searching and sharing. For this reason, drama is an important requirement for preschool education period. Because drama is an effective method that develops creativity and a field of education that raises creative individuals. In this research, which is a descriptive study in the survey model, the relevant literature was reviewed and the contributions of drama in early childhood education to children’s developmental areas were emphasized.
